Nation Ford High School’s Varsity Swim Coach, Alyssa McAllister, has been named the South Carolina Class 5A Region III Varsity Swim Coach of the Year. This prestigious recognition highlights her dedication and leadership in guiding the swim team to excellence. McAllister’s coaching has been instrumental in fostering both individual and team success throughout the season. The Nation Ford community is proud of her accomplishments and looks forward to continued achievements under her leadership.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
