As part of the next phase of the South Carolina Department of Transportation’s (SCDOT) ongoing I-77 interchange project, contractors will be closing the I-77 Southbound offramp to SC-160 (exit 85). The closure is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM on October 13 and will remain in effect until 6:00 AM the next day.
To ensure drivers are well-informed, message boards will be placed along I-77 between the state line and exit 85 prior to the closure. Commuters are encouraged to plan alternate routes or follow the posted detour signs to avoid potential delays.
This closure marks a critical step in the larger interchange improvement project, which aims to enhance traffic flow and safety in the region.
