York County restaurants generally performed well in September 2024, with the Department of Public Health inspecting 158 establishments. Of these, 146 restaurants received an “A” grade, a strong indicator of their adherence to health and safety standards. However, 10 restaurants were graded with a “B” and two received “C” ratings during their initial inspections.
While most restaurants achieved top marks, a few required follow-up inspections to improve their health and safety standards. Here’s a closer look at the establishments that received lower grades and their follow-up outcomes.
Restaurants with “C” Ratings
Two restaurants received a “C” rating in early September, indicating significant health violations. However, both quickly addressed the issues and were able to earn an “A” on follow-up inspections.
- Let’s Crab (501 Crossroads Plaza, Fort Mill) received a “C” on September 3rd but improved to an “A” on September 10th after addressing the health concerns.
- Revis Grocery (1005 N Congress Street, York) received a “C” on September 5th but also bounced back to an “A” on September 12th.
Restaurants with “B” Ratings
Ten restaurants received “B” ratings, suggesting areas for improvement, though many followed up with “A” grades after correcting the issues.
- 365 C Store (208 Gateway Farm Rd, Clover) received a “B” on September 9th but improved to an “A” on September 16th after a follow-up inspection.
- Konnichiwa of Fort Mill (1771 Pleasant Rd, Fort Mill) received a “B” on September 18th, but followed up with an “A” rating on September 25th.
- Las Americas Market (1906 Cherry Rd, Rock Hill) received a “B” on September 9th and improved to an “A” on September 16th.
- Papa Doc’s (3990 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie) earned a “B” on September 11th and followed up with an “A” on September 18th.
- Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen (2445 Cherry Rd, Rock Hill) received a “B” on September 9th but was upgraded to an “A” on September 16th.
- Samantha Café (801 Gold Hill Rd, Fort Mill) earned a “B” on September 10th. A follow-up inspection has not yet been completed.
- Subway #16953 (1940 Hwy 160W Ste 103, Fort Mill) received a “B” on September 25th. No follow-up inspection has been completed yet.
- Tacos Mi Trailita (1204 Mt Gallant, Rock Hill) earned a “B” on September 3rd but improved to an “A” on September 13th after a follow-up.
- The New York Butcher Shoppe (1034 Gold Hill Rd, Fort Mill) received a “B” on September 10th but followed up with an “A” on September 13th.
