Tega Cay Golf Club’s Red, White, and Blue Tournament Shines on July 4th

The Tega Cay Golf Club hosted its highly anticipated Red, White, and Blue tournament on July 4th, a day marked by celebration, camaraderie, and impressive displays of golfing prowess. This annual event, a 4-man scramble, saw teams alternating tees on each hole, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the competition.

Net Division Results

In the Net Division, the team of Mark, Mike, Dan Cruz, and Ryan Herbst claimed the top spot with an outstanding net score of 49. They were followed closely by Andrew Dunlap, Todd Baker, Dale, and Ryan Fandel, who finished with a net score of 50. Securing third place, Adam Byerly, Brandon Fender, Randall Phillips, and Shawn Kramer delivered a strong performance, ending with a net score of 51.  The first gross in the Net Division was awarded to the formidable team of Bill, Billy, Kenny Hall, and Jason Hnat, who achieved an impressive score of 52.

Open Division Results

The Open Division showcased some remarkable talent as well. Tyler Patterson, Thomas Blouin, Jackson Burt, and Garrett Reband emerged victorious with a stellar gross score of 56. Following them, the team of Chaz, Davis, Logan Dunn, and Cade Battie secured second place with a gross score of 58, winning a tie-breaker with a back-nine score of 29. Griffin Tarver, Keegan Brown, Erik Zepplin, and Connor Fredrick rounded out the top three, also scoring 58 but with a back-nine score of 30.

Closest to the Pin

Adding to the day’s excitement were the Closest to the Pin challenges on the Par 3 holes. Joey Curtis showcased his precision on Hole 4, while Chaz Dunn took the honors on Hole 6. Ron Birmingham demonstrated his accuracy on Hole 9, with Will Mason and Steve Haleo shining on Holes 12 and 15, respectively.
