ESPN8: The Ocho Returns to Rock Hill for Third Consecutive Year

Rock Hill, SC – ESPN8: The Ocho, ESPN’s showcase of unique and seldom-seen sports, is set to make its triumphant return to Rock Hill for the third straight year on August 2, 2024.

The full day of events will be broadcast live on ESPN2 from Manchester Meadows and the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center. Fans can expect to see top-level competition in 10-11 unique sports, with the specific lineup and schedule to be announced one week prior to the event.

For those unfamiliar with The Ocho, past events held in Rock Hill have featured a wide range of unconventional sports, including slippery stairs, kickball, air guitar, pillow fighting, break dancing, ax throwing, table tennis, cornhole, omegaball, and cue sports. Now in its eighth edition, ESPN8: The Ocho was inspired by the 2004 film, “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.” This year’s event promises another exciting day of offbeat sports entertainment.
