The York County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the York County Office of Emergency Management, will be conducting a simulated lake clearing exercise on Lake Wylie on June 18th, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents and visitors around the lake can expect to see an increased presence of law enforcement during this time. This exercise is designed to practice and refine procedures for clearing the lake in the event of an emergency at the Catawba Nuclear Station.
No action is required from the public during this simulation.
