York County Council, Special Meeting, May 28, 2024

The York  County Council held a special meeting on May 28, 2024 for the purpose of having a public hearing on the proposed FY24-25 county budget.  One resident, Ms. Michelle Schaer, the executive director of Max Abilities of York County, thanked the council for their ongoing support. She said that Max Abilities provides services and supports to around 1,000 people in the county and that the council has been very supportive of them. She also thanked the council for the work they do for the county.

The council closed the public hearing and adjourned the meeting.

Thomas Hyslip

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
