Fort Mill High School’s boys soccer team captured the South Carolina 5A championship with a decisive 3-0 victory in penalty kicks against Stratford High School, following a 2-2 tie in regulation time. The match, which included a challenging two-hour weather delay, tested both teams’ resilience. The delay heightened the tension but Fort Mill displayed exceptional skill and composure, especially during the shootout, to secure the state title. The victory marks a significant achievement for the team, reflecting their hard work and the strong support from their community and coaches.
