York County is inviting residents to participate in its Household Hazardous Materials & Document Shredding Event. This event is scheduled for Saturday, March 2, from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Residents are welcome to bring their items to the York County Public Works location at 220 Public Works Road, York, SC, situated near the Moss Justice Center.
Items that will be accepted for drop-off include oil-based paints, motor oil, paint thinner, turpentine, mineral spirits, brake fluid, gas and oil mixtures, pesticides, gasoline, household cleaners, fertilizers, drain openers, and other chemicals. Additionally, residents have the opportunity to have their documents shredded and recycled at no cost.
