In a momentous achievement, Samay, a junior at Fort Mill High School, has emerged victorious in the Congressional App Challenge for South Carolina’s 5th District. Samay’s groundbreaking app, “Dreamer,” designed to provide interactive educational support for children with developmental disorders, garnered the coveted title. Congressman Ralph Norman lauded Samay’s accomplishment, stating, “Congratulations on this huge accomplishment, Samay. I look forward to seeing you again in D.C. for #HouseofCode!”
The Congressional App Challenge, established by the House in 2013, aims to promote STEM and computer science education. Students in middle and high schools across participating House districts have the opportunity to demonstrate their coding prowess by developing innovative apps individually or in teams. Samay’s success exemplifies the program’s commitment to nurturing young talent in the field of technology.
