Aaron Whitaker Obituary

Aaron Craig Whitaker, 53, of Tega Cay, SC, passed away peacefully in his home Monday January 22, 2024.  He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Jessica Whitaker; his three sons who were his pride and joy, Caleb (Megan) Whitaker, Noah Whitaker and Chase Whitaker; his father, Rodney Whitaker; his mother, Judy (Starnes) Hayes; and siblings Toby (Robin) Whitaker, Todd Hayes, Kristen (Skip) Corolla, and Amanda (Philip) Champion. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Nancy Whitaker.

Born in Concord, NC, Aaron was a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  Often found working in his garage on various things, he was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed a variety of activities such as fishing, boating, cooking, and throwing a ball with his boys.  His favorite hobby though was hunting where he could be found spending many fall mornings in the deer stand.

A celebration of life will be held at Palmetto Funeral Group in Fort Mill, SC, on Sunday January 28th at 2pm.  For those who are unable to attend in person, the service will also be live streamed on the Palmetto Funeral Group webpage.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Aaron’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; or to Riverview Hospice and Palliative Care of Rock Hill, who lovingly provided Aaron and the family comfort and care in his final months.
