Target to Anchor New CrossRidge Center Development in Indian Land, Boosting Local Economy and Retail Landscape

The CrossRidge Center in Lancaster County, a notable 190-acre mixed-use commercial development, is thrilled to announce the opening of a new Target store, which will serve as its anchor.

Occupying 147,000 square feet as part of the center’s phase 4 expansion, Target’s addition is a response to months of speculation and anticipation. The deal, sealed this December for $3,750,000, cements the store’s place in the Indian Land community. The store, part of a 22-acre shopping center, is strategically located near the newly opened Costco and just 7.2 miles from the existing Blakeney Target in Charlotte. This development is set to significantly enhance the local retail scene.

Details of the CrossRidge Center include:

  • Over 1,500 feet of frontage on Highway 521, with three primary entry and exit points, including two at signalized intersections, for seamless access.
  • Future plans for 120,000 square feet of class A office space, featuring expansive 30,000 square feet floorplates.
  • Availability of retail parcels for ground lease, build-to-suit, and multi-tenant buildings at the site’s front entrance.
  • The addition of a state-of-the-art, 75,000 square foot YMCA, the largest in the market, located at the back of the property.
  • The development is poised to benefit from the area’s explosive residential growth and a burgeoning daytime workforce.
  • The design includes a planned signalized main entrance for improved accessibility.

Target’s establishment in the CrossRidge Center is anticipated to be a major draw, enhancing its status as a central shopping and business hub in Indian Land, SC.
