Tega Cay, SC (Tega Cay Sun) – Gold Hill Middle School proudly welcomed 89 new members into the esteemed Beta Club, celebrating their academic achievements and dedication to service. Membership opens doors to develop leadership skills and make positive contributions to society.
These students excel academically and embody the spirit of service and leadership, values Beta Club actively cultivates.Through diverse activities, including tutoring peers and participating in local charities, they will enhance their skills and contribute to their community.
The induction ceremony marked a momentous occasion, recognizing students’ dedication and achievements. As Beta Club members, they embark on a journey to become tomorrow’s leaders, ready to make a positive impact on their communities and beyond. Congratulations to the new inductees! Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
