Tega Cay, SC – Dana Madison Hazen, age 13, of Tega Cay, passed away on Saturday, October 28th, 2023, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, November 11th, 2023 at Wolfe Funeral Home.
Born in Rock Hill, Dana was the daughter of Aaron Joseph (AJ) Hazen and Nicole Joan Hazen. She was a student at Gold Hill Middle School. Dana enjoyed school; visual and language arts; aerial and musical performance arts.
In addition to her parents, Dana was survived by her grandparents, Joy Lee Hadden (Gammy), Greg Rose (Pappy Pops), and Ronald S. Hazen (Grandpa); aunts and uncles, Heather Holman, Carol Johnson, Ronald Lee Hazen.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
