York County, SC (Tega Cay Sun) – Starting this weekend, the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will close two southbound lanes on Interstate 77 over Celanese Road in York County for bridge repairs.
The closures will begin Friday, September 29, at 8 p.m. and continue from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for four consecutive weekends. The schedule may change depending on weather and traffic conditions. Drivers will still be able to use the other two southbound lanes of the bridge during the repairs.
SCDOT will also close Celanese Road at night and on weekends during the next month to facilitate bridge repairs. Motorists are asked to use caution when driving near work zones.
