York, SC (Tega Cay Sun) – The York, SC Police Department is holding their National Night Out this Saturday from 12-4PM, York Recreation Complex, 74 4th Street, York, SC.
The day will start with the US Navy SPECOPS from Norfolk, VA conducting a military aerial and ground demonstration. Military personnel will fast rope from a MH60 helicopter onto the field and simulate securing the area while under hostile fire. After the demonstration, the helicopter and military personnel will be available for public display and viewing. There will also be law enforcement and healthcare helicopters on the ground on display along with their crews.
There will be a police car show, inflatables and other games for kids and teens alike. While supplies last there will be FREE hotdogs, chips,, drinks, Pelican’s Snoballs York, SC, cotton candy, and more.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching.
