Fort Mill, SC (Tega Cay Sun) – The Fury 325 rollercoaster at Carowinds won the Golden Ticket Award for the Best Steel Coaster in the World on September 9, 2023 at the Amusement Today Awards.
After winning the best new coaster in 2015, the Fury 325 has been named the Best Steel Coaster in the World every year since.
According to Carowinds, “Fury 325 is North America’s longest steel coaster, and is over 1.25 miles long….following a dramatic 81-degree drop riders race into a massive 190-foot tall barrel turn and a high-speed S-curve reaching speeds of up to 95 mph.”
