Possible Second Crack found in the Fury 325 Rollercoaster at Carowinds

Charlotte, NC (Tega Cay Sun) – Carowinds’ beloved giga coaster, Fury 325, has come under scrutiny once again as reports suggest the existence of a potential second break. However, the park officials have neither confirmed nor denied the presence of a crack in a statement they provided on July 27th to Joe Bruno of WSOC TV, Channel 9 (shown below).

The situation escalated when the North Carolina Department of Labor was informed about a “weld indication” on Friday, a concern that could signify a break or crack in the coaster’s structure. Several weeks ago, Carowinds had to replace a support beam that had detached from Fury 325’s track. Despite thorough inspections and test rides conducted by park inspectors, the Department of Labor has not yet granted the official approval for the coaster to reopen. The safety and integrity of the ride remain a top priority until the authorities complete their evaluation.
