Tega Cay, SC (Tega Cay Sun) – The Tega Cay Major Little League All-Stars finished second at the South Carolina State Championships.
Tega Cay was seeded second and won their first game against Irmo on July 14, 2023 by a score of 14-2. But on July 16, 2023 Tega Cay fell to Northwood 8-2 and moved to the loser bracket of the tournament. But Tega Cay battled back and defeated Barrier Islands 7-4 on Monday July 17th. Tega Cay then faced off with Northwood again on July 18th. Tega Cay needed to beat Northwood twice to win the tournament, but they fell in the first game 12-2 and Northwood was crowned the State Champions!
Tega Cay had a great season, winning the District 8 championships and finishing second in South Carolina.
