Tega Cay Tavern Restaurant Inspection Report

Tega Cay, SC – On July 5, 2023 the Tega Cay Tavern was inspected by the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control.  The Tega Cay Tavern received a grade of “A” with an overall score of 89%.

The restaurant was cited for improper food holding temperatures, storing ready to eat food over 7 days, and a thermometer is not provided in reach in cooler, A copy of the full report is available here: Report. A follow up inspection is planned for July 14th.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida.
