The South Carolina Department of Health and Envriontmal Control conduct two retail food establishment inspections within Tega Cay in June 2023. The two inspections included one routine inspections and one follow-up inspection. Both inspections passed with “A” ratings.
On June 12, 2023, the Famous Toastery located at 2429 Highway 160 West, Tega Cay received a 91% score and was cited for storing items in the handwashing sink, organic ice build up in the ice machine, improper cold food holding temperatures, and standing water on the floor. A follow up inspection was conducted at the Famous Toastery 10 days later and they received a score of 100% and all citations were corrected. A copy of the follow up report is available here: Follow Up Report
