On June 27th and 29th 2023, the York County Sheriff’s Office, with the Fort Mill School District, will conduct a York County multi-jurisdictional active assailant training exercise at Catawba Ridge High School. Catawba Ridge High School is located at 1180 Fort Mill Pkwy. The exercise will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude approximately at 4:00 p.m. each day.
Each agency participating in the drill will train on their response to an active assailant/shooter. Agency personnel will also be at Forest Creek Middle School on Whites Rd. Fort Mill for staging purposes.
Multiple police, fire, EMS and York County Office of Emergency Management personnel will be in this area.
Please note that this is a training exercise and the public is not permitted to attend.
