The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets girls volleyball were dominant in their 3-0 victory over the visiting Indian Land Warriors. Fort Mill won 25-21, 25-16 and 25-14 in the best of five series.
Fort Mill improves to 10-8 on the season and 6-5 in Region 3-5A action. Their last game of the season is a this Thursday at home against cross-town rival Nation Ford High School.
The Yellow Jackets also celebrated their seniors before the game. The team’s seniors are Rachel Hall, 3; Stephanie Solano, 6; Olivia Rooney, 8; Campbell Player, 9; and Katelyn Rutledge, 15.
With the loss, Indian Land is 5-17 overall and 0-11 in Region 3-5A play. They play at Northwestern next Wednesday for their final game of the season.
The South Carolina High School League recently announced changes to their year’s post season activity due to Hurricane Helene.
For girls volleyball, one week was added to the regular season and state playoff dates were changed.
