Fort Mill, SC — Lightning and heavy rain delayed several of last night’s regional high school football games.
Fort Mill High School’s home opener against Chester was called before it even started and will not be rescheduled. Fort Mill (1-0) opened their season last week with a dominant win over Ballantyne Ridge High School. The Yellow Jacket’s next game will be at home on September 6 against Blythewood.
The Nation Ford Falcons (0-1) were ahead 7-6 against York when stoppage was called due to lightning. The Falcons travel back to York this morning for an 11 a.m. start.
Catawba Ridge (0-1) travels back to East Gaston High School after their non-region match up was preempted due to weather. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. today.
