Tega Cay Police Mourn the Loss of Lieutenant Lauren Galloway

TEGA CAY, S.C. — The Tega Cay community is grieving the loss of Lieutenant Lauren Galloway, a 12-year veteran of the Tega Cay Police Department, who passed away on Sunday, August 25, after a courageous battle with cancer.

The Tega Cay Police Department announced her passing, reflecting on the profound impact she had on the department and the community. “Lauren was a leader, a mentor, and a provider to our department. She was kind to everyone and served the citizens of Tega Cay selflessly,” the department stated.

The loss of Lieutenant Galloway has left a deep void within the department, with officers and staff struggling to cope with one of the most challenging moments in the department’s history.

Residents and community members wishing to pay their respects are invited to place flowers or memorials at the rock located in front of the police station on Tega Cay Drive. Arrangements for Lieutenant Galloway’s service will be announced in the coming days.
