WRHI Radio Triumphs at South Carolina Broadcasters Association Awards

ROCK HILL, SC – WRHI Radio has once again demonstrated its excellence in broadcasting by winning an impressive 16 awards at the South Carolina Broadcasters Association (SCBA) State Broadcaster’s Awards. This achievement marks WRHI as the most awarded station at this year’s event, celebrating its commitment to quality journalism and entertainment.

Highlighting the night, WRHI’s Chris Miller was honored as the Statewide Sportscaster of the Year, a testament to his outstanding contributions to sports broadcasting. The station’s talent continued to shine with Lucas McFadden, Alex Greenawalt, Tyler Cupp, and Ashley Lang winning the News Talk Show of the Year and Morning Show of the Year.  They also secured the Award of Merit as the runner-up for Radio Show of the Year.

Manning Kimmel’s program, “Straight Talk,” was recognized as the Public Affairs Show of the Year, reflecting the station’s dedication to engaging and informative public discourse. The team’s success extended to the Convergence Coverage category, where Matt Hiers and Tyler Cupp, and Steven Stone and Chris Miller achieved a complete sweep by winning both the top award and the runner-up position.

WRHI’s excellence in production was also acknowledged with seven awards in various production categories. Additionally, the station received the Service Award of the Year, highlighting its community engagement and service. WRHI was also awarded the Award of Merit for Radio Station of the Year, underscoring its overall excellence in broadcasting.
