Margie Miller Gaede, 86, Tega Cay, SC

Tega Cay, South Carolina – Mrs. Margie Miller Gaede, 86, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am -12 noon on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church, 2906 SC-160 West, Fort Mill, SC 29708. The Celebration of Life will follow in the church.

Mrs. Gaede was a native of Salisbury, NC and the daughter of the late Henry Heywood Miller and Virginia Harrison Melchor Miller. She graduated from Boyden High School in 1955 and Lenoir Rhyne University in 1957 with a commercial degree. She was employed for 20 years with American Appraisal. Mrs. Gaede was a warm, loving, positive person. She loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the neighborhood children arrive home from school. Mrs. Gaede enjoyed socializing with others and could often be seen in the grocery stores offering up food samples to customers, while also surprising them with a pocket cross. She was an avid walker and Panthers fan. She loved taking trips to Myrtle Beach where she’d take long walks on the beach looking for sea shells. She also treasured the years she had with her five Persian cats. Mrs. Gaede was the widow of Harold C. Bullard and Hans E. Gaede.

Mrs. Gaede is survived by her children, Harold C. Bullard, Jr. (Jane), Jill C. Vails (Keith) and Lynda S. Gaede; her seven grandchildren, Katie Corrie, David Corrie, Michael Vails, Eric Vails, Sean Vails, Michael Bullard (Missy), and Lauren Demarest (Kris); and her five great-grandchildren, Landon and Cooper Demarest and Ryker, Camden and Hawkins Bullard. She was preceded in death by her brother, Heywood Miller, Jr. and her sister, Louise Moose.
