Charlotte, NC (Tega Cay Sun) – The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) is set to introduce a vast 70-acre park designed for dogs, with its official launch expected in mid-November. This park boasts a 3-mile trail that wraps around a lake, complemented by a beer garden and beach area.
Whitewater attendees can freely access the off-leash section and lake trail. However, a specific pass is essential for those looking to bring in their dogs.
The dog park’s key highlight is the Lake Center, which will encompass an open-air beer garden, a beach adjacent to the lake, access to trails and water, and a retail outlet. There’s also a designated space for hosting large-scale events.
Annual pass holders have the privilege of including one dog in their pass without incurring any extra charges. Any subsequent dogs would have a charge of $50 each. The current cost for an annual pass at the USNWC stands at $250. A day pass costs $75.
For those opting for a day’s visit, they can bring along a dog to the off-leash region at no extra cost. The prevailing day pass charges are $75 for adults and $65 for kids below 8. There’s also an option to purchase dog park-specific passes for $10, but these don’t offer access to other center activities.
The park is open to dogs of every breed and size.
