Fort Mill, SC – The Town of Fort Mill is offering a unique opportunity to delve into the town’s rich history by opening the preserved office of Col. Elliott White Springs for public tours. This special event will serve as an exciting kickoff to the 2025 South Carolina Strawberry Festival.
Springs Industries and the Springs Family hold a significant place in Fort Mill’s heritage. Recognizing this legacy, the Town ensured its preservation when it moved into the former Springs Industries building, now the Fort Mill Town Hall.
Members of the public are invited to explore this iconic space, located at 205 N. White Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715, on Friday, May 2nd, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Volunteers from the Fort Mill History Museum will be present to guide visitors through the preserved office of Col. Springs, sharing captivating stories and showcasing unique Town artifacts. This is a rare chance to learn firsthand about the profound impact of Springs Industries on the Fort Mill community.
Light refreshments will be available for attendees. As space is limited, those interested in taking the tour are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they don’t miss this special glimpse into Fort Mill’s past.
