Nominations are now open for the prestigious “Citizen of the Year” award, a cherished tradition that honors those who go above and beyond to make Tega Cay a better place to live.
This annual recognition, culminating in a special presentation at the beloved July 4th celebration, shines a spotlight on individuals who exemplify dedication, service, and a genuine commitment to the betterment of Tega Cay. Past winners, a distinguished list including recent recipients like Cliff Nichols (2024), Elaine Siegel (2023), and Betsey O’Brien (2022), stand as testaments to the extraordinary spirit that defines our community.
Who Deserves Recognition?
Do you know someone who consistently volunteers their time, initiates impactful projects, or simply embodies the spirit of community service? The Tega Cay Lions Club wants to hear from you!
Nomination Criteria:
- Nominator: Must be a resident of Tega Cay.
- Nominee: Must be a resident of Tega Cay.
- Joint Nominations: Nominees may be two individuals who work together as a unit.
- Subjective Criteria: Nominees must have:
- Made substantial contributions to the Tega Cay community.
- Demonstrated exceptional dedication and service.

Important Deadline:
All nominations must be submitted by Thursday, May 1st.
