Fort Mill High School DECA Club Finishes 4th in South Carolina at Statewide Business Competition

The Fort Mill High School DECA Club demonstrated its business and marketing expertise at the South Carolina DECA 78th Annual Career Development Conference, a prestigious event where high school students from across the state compete in various business-related challenges.

Led by advisor Gina Farley, the FMHS DECA teams had an outstanding performance, winning all their events in round one and securing a 4th place finish in South Carolina after two days of competition.

The conference provided students with an opportunity to showcase their skills in entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and leadership, competing against top students from across the state. Fort Mill’s strong finish is a testament to the dedication and hard work of its DECA students and the support from their school community.

Among the standout competitors were seniors Emery Dove and Emma Grace Funderburk, who contributed to the team’s success. Their achievements, along with those of their teammates, highlight FMHS DECA’s tradition of excellence and its commitment to preparing students for future careers in business and leadership.
