FORT MILL, S.C. – The stop-work order at Silfab Solar’s Fort Mill facility has been officially lifted as of Friday, June 27, 2025, allowing construction activities to resume. The decision came after York County officials engaged in discussions with company leaders.
The initial stop-work order was issued due to a combination of permitting concerns. County leaders had reported finding employees on the construction site who were not involved in permitted work, and it was noted that the building also lacked a certificate of occupancy. While the exact conditions or specific resolutions that led to the lifting of the order were not reported, the county’s decision signals that the issues have been addressed to their satisfaction.
