The Blood Connection is hosting a Halloween-themed blood drive with a spooky twist: donors will receive $50 in rewards for their life-saving contributions. The event, titled “Saving Lives is Fang-Tastic,” will take place at the City of Tega Cay’s Glennon Center, located at 15083 Molokai Drive in Tega Cay, SC. The drive is scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance by scanning the QR code on the promotional flyer or by using Sponsor Code 12513 when booking an appointment. The $50 incentive, combined with the Halloween theme, aims to bring in donors during a season when blood donations are critically needed.
The Blood Connection, a nonprofit community blood center, stresses that donors must be at least 16 years old (with parental consent required for those under 18) and weigh at least 110 pounds. Eligible donors are encouraged to stay hydrated and eat a healthy meal before arriving.
