Fort Mill, SC – The streets of downtown Fort Mill are about to get a whole lot more festive as the town kicks off its annual Scarecrow Crawl, a beloved tradition that transforms the community into a creative, fall-themed wonderland. From October 4 to October 31, 2024, residents, businesses, and organizations will showcase their imaginative scarecrow displays, lining Main Street with these unique autumn decorations.
This year’s Scarecrow Crawl will feature dozens of entries, each competing for the best scarecrow design. Participants have poured their creativity into crafting scarecrows that range from humorous to spooky and everything in between. The event aims to bring the community together while celebrating the fall season with a touch of local flair.
Visitors and locals are encouraged to explore downtown Fort Mill during the month of October to enjoy the scarecrow displays, take photos, and vote for their favorites.
Facebook Voting is October 11-28 and winners will be chosen for People’s Choice, Best Sponsor and Town of Fort Mill Best Department Scarecrow by MOST LIKES on their photo on the Town of Fort Mill Facebook Page: “Scarecrow Crawl Album.” Winners will be announced on Town social media on Oct. 29. How to Participate: Businesses and residents can register their scarecrows through the Fort Mill Parks & Recreation department. Registration opened in September and entries are displayed throughout October, giving ample time for community members and tourists to visit.
