Yellow Jacket girls volleyball rocks Rock Hill 3-2

Fort Mill, SC — The Fort Mill Yellow Jacket’s girls volleyball team defeated the Rock Hill squad 3-2 Tuesday night. The Fort Mill squad is 5-5 overall and 1-2 in the region. It was excellent play on both sides of the net, with Fort Mill head coach Makala McCrorey saw her team’s win as another step in improving their confident. “I have a lot of individual talent on my team this season, but we have struggled to develop trust and chemistry on the court,” McCrorey explained. “With hard work and open communication from my players we have been able to make progress as a team and perform better together this week. The win last night was so much bigger for me as a coach because I saw so many players work through hard moments and stay in it mentally. We had a rough start to region play last week but I truly believe it  was a minor setback for a major comeback.” The rest of the season are all region games. The Jacket’s are home Thursday night against Northwestern before a three game road trip against Indian Land, Nation Ford and Catawba Ridge.
