Doug Champagne, Kenny Hall, and Gary Anderson Lead Tega Cay Golf Club Men’s Championship After Day 1

The first day of the Tega Cay Golf Club Men’s Championship concluded with impressive performances across all divisions, setting the stage for an exciting final round. Doug Champagne, Kenny Hall, and Gary Anderson emerged as the leaders in the Club Championship, Senior Club Championship, and Super Senior Club Championship, respectively.

Club Championship

Doug Champagne leads the Club Championship with an outstanding gross score of 68. Following close behind him is Griffin Tarver, who posted a 69 to take second place. Jason Hnat is currently in third with a score of 70, while Tom Cannarozzo and Billy Hall round out the top five with scores of 72 and 73, respectively. With such tight competition at the top, the final round promises to be an intense battle for the title.

Kenneth Hall leads the Senior Club Championship with a gross score of 75. Close behind him is Ryan Ratcliffe, who posted a score of 78, securing second place. Randall Phillips rounds out the top three with a score of 82. The competition remains close, and Hall will need to maintain his strong performance to secure the championship in the final round.

Murphy’s gross score of 77, Birmingham’s 91, and Lacher’s 100 highlight the diverse range of playstyles in the competition. Ray Taylor and Charles Martin are also in strong positions, each with net scores of 74. The Open Championship, which spans two days, allows players to post their best score on each hole over both days, ensuring that the competition will remain fierce until the very end.
