Tega Cay to Host Annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics South Carolina
Get ready to “Freeze for a Reason” this winter as the Tega Cay Beach Club prepares to host its highly anticipated 2025 Polar Plunge! Scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025, this exciting event will take place at the Tega Cay Beach & Swim Center, located at 4088 Beach Club Lane in Tega Cay, SC. The Polar Plunge is part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run initiative, benefiting Special Olympics South Carolina.
The event promises a day filled with frosty fun and community spirit. Participants can expect a jam-packed schedule:
- 10:00 AM: Check-in begins.
- 10:30 AM: Relay race to kick off the festivities.
- 11:00 AM: Costume contest and awards, adding a creative and festive flair.
- 11:30 AM: The main event—take the plunge into the chilly waters!
The Polar Plunge is more than just a daring leap into icy waters—it’s an opportunity to support athletes in the Special Olympics. Proceeds from the event will go toward funding programs and competitions for individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting inclusion and athletic excellence.
