Fort Mill, SC – The Fort Mill High School boys golf team concluded their season at the Upper State qualifier yesterday with a strong showing, particularly impressive for their young roster. The Jacket team at the qualifier consisted of eleventh graders Baker Tolentino and Tyson Shouse, along with eighth graders Noah Jones, Andrew Blocher, and Nick Harper.
While the team as a whole did not qualify for the state championship, Fort Mill High School will be well-represented thanks to the individual performances of two talented golfers.
Baker Tolentino and Noah Jones have both earned spots to compete in next week’s state championship tournament. Tolentino delivered an excellent performance at the Upper State qualifier, shooting an even par 72, which placed him ninth overall. Eighth grader Noah Jones also showcased his skill, carding a solid 79. Notably, only four individual spots were available for advancement to the state championship, and Fort Mill High School secured two of those coveted positions.
The Fort Mill community extends its best wishes to Baker Tolentino and Noah Jones as they prepare to compete at the state championship next week. The future looks bright for the boys Jacket Golf team. A special thank you is also extended to Coach Bridges for his dedicated work with the team throughout the season.
