The Tega Cay Men’s Golf Association recently concluded its annual Member-Member tournament on April 26th and 27th, delivering a fantastic weekend of camaraderie and competitive golf. The beautiful weather provided the perfect backdrop for members to team up and showcase their skills on the course.
The tournament featured flighted competition, and several teams emerged victorious after two days of play. In Flight 1, the duo of Bruce Fonte and Dale Grizer proved to be a formidable force, carding a net score of 132 (-12) to take the top spot. Their performance included a memorable eagle by Dale on the 10th hole. Flight 2 saw Jim Mowery and Brian Hyer claim victory with an impressive net score of 131 (-13), highlighting consistent play from both team members.

The overall results further highlighted the depth of talent within the association. In Flight 1, following Fonte and Grizer, Gary Anderson and Ryan Ratcliffe secured second place with a net score of 136 (-8), while Paul Garand and Mark Palmer finished third with a net of 138 (-6). Flight 2 saw Mowery and Hyer in first, followed by a tie for second place between the teams of Jeff Roesler/Lew Adkins and Mark Cruz/Marty Corrigan, both posting a net score of 137 (-7).
The Prize Pool results recognized top performers across multiple flights. In Flight 1, Aaron Hinson and Derek Prater took first place with a gross score of 141 (-3), with Adam Byerly/Randall Phillips and Bill Hall/Billy Hall tying for second with a gross score of 142 (-2). Flight 2 saw Bruce Fonte and Dale Grizer add another victory to their weekend, taking first place with a gross score of 132 (-12), followed by Gary Anderson and Ryan Ratcliffe in second with a gross of 136 (-8).

Sunday’s individual round also produced notable net scores. In Flight 1, Gary Anderson and Ryan Ratcliffe bounced back to take first place with a net 143 (-1), followed by Bruce Fonte and Dale Grizer (net 144/E) and Mike Clyburn/Rich Reggero (net 146/+2). Flight 2 on Sunday saw Mark Cruz and Marty Corrigan claim the top spot with a net 144 (E), with Bryan Goulet/Adam Eastwick in second (net 147/+3) and a tie for third between Dale Fandel/Randy Mook and Jeff Roesler/Lew Adkins (both net 150/+6).
Adding to the excitement were the Gross and Net Skins competitions. On Sunday, Chad Gaudet/Colin Plumb, Tyler Patterson/Greg Patterson, Bruce Fonte/Dale Grizer, and Larry Harley/Mike Holcomb each secured a Gross Skin. The Net Skins on Sunday were claimed by Chad Gaudet/Colin Plumb (two skins), Mark Palmer/Paul Garand, Jay Norris/Ryan Andrews, Jeff Roelser/Lew Adkins, Tyler Patterson/Greg Patterson, Bruce Fonte/Dale Grizer, Larry Harley/Mike Holcomb, Mike Clyburn/Rich Reggero, Kelly Byerley/Bryan Voss, Mark Cruz/Marty Corrigan, and David Morgan/Naoki Okuno.
Saturday’s round also featured Gross and Net Skins. The Gross Skins were won by Bill Hall/Billy Hall (three skins), Jeff Bridges/Juan Melchor (two skins), Adam Byerly/Randall Phillips, Randy Mook/Dale Fandel, Bruce Fonte/Dale Grizer, Bob Auman/Brandon Fender, Thomas Foy/Wesley Lyon, and Mike McTrye/Rob Tucker. The Net Skins on Saturday went to Jeff Bridges/Juan Melchor, Randy Mook/Dale Fandel, Gary Anderson/Ryan Ratcliffe, Bob Auman/Brandon Fender, Todd Layton/Phil Potts, Thomas Foy/Wesley Lyon, Jim Mowery/Brian Hyer, and Mark Cruz/Marty Corrigan.
