TEGA CAY — The countdown is finally over as the Best Dam Food Festival arrives this Saturday, May 10, transforming Catawba Park into a food lover’s paradise. This eight-hour celebration of cuisine and entertainment promises to be the highlight of the spring season, with residents and visitors alike clearing their weekend schedules for the highly anticipated event.
The festival, running from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, will feature an impressive lineup of musical talent headlined by 84 – The Ultimate Van Halen Experience, the region’s most electrifying tribute band. Their performance will cap off a day filled with entertainment that includes hometown country artist Kyle Dills at 2:30 PM and beloved beach music favorites The Entertainers at 4:15 PM.
“The Best Dam Food Festival is going to be an absolute blast – we’re bringing together the most amazing food vendors, rocking live music, and fantastic family fun all in one incredible day!” says Caroline Hasty, Event Manager.
Festival-goers won’t just feast their ears but their taste buds as well, with an array of culinary delights ranging from fresh-made pizza and kettle corn to gourmet lobster rolls and authentic BBQ from top local vendors. Bringing back this year, attendees can cast their vote for “Best Dessert” and “Best Entrée” by simply scanning a QR code located at the festival, adding a friendly competition among the food vendors.
“We’re excited to let our visitors be the judges this year,” adds Hasty. “The food vendor competitions will add another layer of fun as people sample their way through the festival.”
In addition to the gastronomic offerings, attendees can enjoy free light amusements for all ages and browse an eclectic marketplace featuring everything from luxury golf carts to artisanal candles.
