The Peach Stand is re-opening its doors on Saturday, March 1st with a new look and restaurant menu. The beloved Fort Mill General Store/Butcher Shop has been closed for renovations for the past month. Physical changes include updates to the flooring and bathrooms; however, the biggest change is to their breakfast and lunch menus. Both will continue to be offered but will be geared more toward upscale and healthier options.
The Tega Cay Sun was provided exclusive access to not only view, but taste the changes that were made.
The breakfast menu veers away from omelettes and breakfast plates to breakfast sandwiches and fresh fruit. Lunch shifts from burgers, hot dogs and fries to deli sandwiches like The Godfather (Italian), The Club (turkey, ham and bacon) and The Cold Roast Beef (roast beef and cheddar). Favorites like the BLT, Reuben and the aforementioned Club sandwich have carried over, although there may be slight differences from before. Each sandwich is served with a side of chips and sliced kosher pickles.
Our editors can vouch for it—the Godfather sandwich is absolutely delicious. Served hot or cold on soft, chewy bread, each bite delivers the perfect balance of savory flavors you’d expect from a well-crafted Italian sub.
Additional updates include a revamped coffee bar offering a variety of carafes instead of individual serving size cups as well as an oatmeal bar where you can add your favorite toppings.
Based on our sampling, the new menus are set to establish the Peach Stand as a top choice for quick, healthy, and delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
