Tega Cay resident Megan Cairns has once again secured a spot at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) National Finals. For the second consecutive year, the young equestrian has demonstrated her skill and dedication, earning a place among the nation’s top riders.
Cairns qualified after a first-place finish at the IEA Regional competition in Lumberton, North Carolina, last weekend. This victory follows her success at last year’s Southeast Regionals in Tennessee, which led to her debut at the 2024 Nationals in Texas.
The IEA provides middle and high school students with opportunities to compete in equestrian sports, emphasizing skill development and sportsmanship. Cairns’ back-to-back national qualifications highlight the impact of these programs in fostering young talent.
She will return to Texas in June to compete against top equestrians from across the country. Supported by her family, the Flamekissed Equestrian team, and the Tega Cay community, Cairns continues to make her mark in the sport.
