Today, the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services (SCDPPPS) launched
its new and improved agency website (https://ppp.sc.gov/), hosted by SC.gov. This redesigned,
user-friendly site will make in-depth information even more accessible to offenders, victims,
courts, and other members of the public served by SCDPPPS.
The revamped site will largely highlight current job openings and the many career paths
(https://ppp.sc.gov/careers) available at SCDPPPS. The new site, like its predecessor, provides a
convenient link allowing individuals under SCDPPPS supervision to pay their supervision fees and
restitution online (https://ppp.sc.gov/supervision-rehabilitation/offender-search).
“We remain committed to holding offenders accountable for payment of restitution to crime victims,
and the online payment feature adds to the many ways they can pay fees and restitution,” said
Acting Director Chad Gambrell. “This enhanced website will also further increase agency
transparency- educating the public about SCDPPPS implementation of sentencing reform and our
commitment to offender rehabilitation.”
The innovative site design includes interactive features such as an Offender Search, Parole and
Pardon Hearing Searches (https://ppp.sc.gov/parole-pardon-release-services), and comprehensive
county-level statistics about the population supervised by the Department.
SCDPPPS is the third largest state law enforcement agency in South Carolina and is charged with the
supervision of over 23,400 offenders living in the community placed on probation by the Court,
granted parole by the South Carolina Board of Paroles and Pardons, and enrolled in mandatory
release programs. Offenders are supervised according to a wide range of evidence-based,
rehabilitative strategies designed to foster successful reentry while protecting public safety.
