Mr. Jerome LeArtist Joyner (63) Entered in eternal rest on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in Tega Cay, SC., Surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Savannah, Ga., and educated in the Chatham County public School system and furthered his education in the United States Marine Corps. Climbing from the ranks of the enlisted all the Way to Warrant Officer 4, A feat seldom done. After an illustrious career in the military, Jerome protected and served in California’s Temecula Sheriff Department and later Ended his career at the Chatham County Sheriff Department in Savannah and later he retired to Tega Cay, SC.

Jerome is survived by his wife, Lolisa Berry Joyner, of Tega Cay, SC., his mother, Pastor, A. M. Joyner, of Savannah, Ga., and daughter, Shanitra Barnes, of Charlotte, NC, 2 grandchildren, Azariah Barnes and Elijah Barnes, Of Charlotte, NC. 2 sisters, Debra Bacon, of Savannah, Ga., and Jacqueline Aikens, of Savannah, Ga., 2 brothers, Drayton Joyner Jr., of Savannah, Ga. and Kenneth Leonard Joyner, of Savannah, Ga. Stepson, Reginald McMillian, of Charlotte, NC., and son-in-law, Brandon Barnes, of Charlotte, NC., and a Host of, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
