Yellowjackets fall to Falcons in season finale

The Nation Ford Falcons girls volleyball team beat the Fort Mill Yellowjackets in four games Thursday night. Nation Ford won the first two games 25-17 and 25-20. Game three was a battle with the Yellowjacket’s coming out on top 27-25. The Falcons were too much in the end and won the fourth and final game 25-17. Fort Mill ends the season at 10-9 and 6-6 for Region 3-5A. With one remaining regular season game, the Falcons improve to 37-3 and 11-0 in the region.

The South Carolina High School League recently announced changes to their year’s post season activity due to Hurricane Helene. For girls volleyball, one week was added to the regular season and state playoff dates were changed.

  • Round 1 – 10/30 (Wednesday); Round 1 – 10/31 (Thursday)

  • Round 2 – 11/2 (Saturday); Round 2 – 11/5   (Tuesday)

  • Round 3 – 11/6 (Wednesday); Round 3 – 11/7   (Thursday)

  • State Finals – 11/9 (Saturday); Round 4 – 11/11 (Monday) & 11/12 (Tuesday)

  • State Finals – 11/14 (Thursday) & 11/16 (Saturday)
