This morning, a serious accident occurred during the drop-off period at Catawba Ridge High School, leaving both a crossing guard and a driver injured. According to reports, two vehicles collided near the school’s main entrance, and in the aftermath, one of the vehicles struck the crossing guard stationed there.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly responded to the scene and transported both the injured crossing guard and one of the drivers to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been fully disclosed, but school officials and community members are hopeful for their swift recovery.
