Several York County area high schools kicked off their season with thrilling matchups. Northwestern narrowly escaped Hough with a 45-44 victory, while Fort Mill dominated Ballantyne Ridge 56-0. Other notable results included Lewisville’s shutout win over Central and River Bluff’s come-from-behind victory against Rock Hill.
There were also some close contests, such as Indian Land’s two-point win over York and Lancaster’s comeback victory against Chester. Overall, this week provided plenty of excitement and set the stage for a competitive season.
