Celebrate the Nation’s 248th birthday with food, fireworks, and fun at Fort Mill’s Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. This free event will take place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Fort Mill Amphitheater and Walter Elisha Park, 345 N. White St.
Event Highlights:
- Most Patriotic Contest: Starts at 6 p.m. at the Amphitheater Stage. Dress in your best red, white, and blue for a chance to win prizes. Judged by South Carolina Strawberry Festival Queens and mascot Berry B. Good.
- Live Music:
- Rivermist (Classic Rock, R&B, Variety) at 6:30 p.m.
- Blackwater Band (Top 40, Blues, Funk, Country) from 8 to 9:15 p.m.
- Special Ceremony: Celebrating the Nation’s 248th birthday at 7:30 p.m. with town council, local dignitaries, and more. Emceed by Capt. Jim Slade of WSOC Country 103.7FM.
- Family Fun: Kids’ crafts hosted by Piedmont Medical Center-Fort Mill, roving entertainment, and children’s activities.
- Vendors and Food Trucks: 27 food and beverage options and 30 vendors offering fun items and games.
- Fireworks Show: Spectacular display at 9:15 p.m.
Additional Information:
- Parking: Available at Veterans Park (106 N. White Street), Calhoun Street Park (203 Calhoun Street), Looms Way, and the Amphitheater Lot for handicapped parking.
- Road Closures:
- N. White Street (from Old Nation Road to Ardrey Street) will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the fireworks show.
- Ardrey Street will be closed from 4 to 10 p.m.
