Arts Council of York County to Host Annual Meeting on June 27, 2024

The Arts Council of York County is excited to announce its Annual Arts Meeting, set to take place on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Center for the Arts, located at 121 East Main Street, Rock Hill. The meeting will begin at 5 PM and promises to be an evening of celebration and community engagement.

Event Highlights

The Annual Arts Meeting will feature:

  • Year in Review: Attendees will be treated to highlights and accomplishments from the past year, showcasing the council’s dedication to promoting and supporting the arts in York County.
  • Award Presentations: The prestigious Ben Ardrey Volunteer Award and the Business & the Arts Partnership Award will be presented, recognizing outstanding contributions and partnerships that have significantly impacted the local arts scene.
  • Board Announcements: The meeting will also include the announcement of the new board members, who will help steer the Arts Council’s future initiatives and projects, as well as recognition of the outgoing board members for their service and dedication.

Art Exhibits at the Center for the Arts

In addition to the meeting, attendees can explore several exciting exhibits at the Center for the Arts:

  • Dalton Gallery: Featuring the 35th Juried Competition, showcasing a diverse range of artistic talents.
  • Perimeter Gallery: Displaying “MUGSHOT,” an exhibition featuring artwork from local potters.
  • Edmund D. Lewandowski Classroom Gallery: Presenting “Exploring Perspectives: A Journey Through the Lens” by Compass Prep Homeschool.
