FORT MILL, SC — The Fort Mill School District is thrilled to announce the appointments of Ellen Borland as Principal of Pleasant Knoll Middle School and Mabra Wayman as Principal of Riverview Elementary School. The school board approved these selections during the meeting held on Tuesday, June 4.
Mrs. Ellen Borland will be succeeding Cori Hustedt, who is transitioning to the district office as the new Director of Student Services. Mrs. Borland currently serves as Assistant Principal at Fort Mill High School. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Math Education from the University of South Carolina Upstate, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Queens University, an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University, and is currently completing a Doctorate of Education in Educational Systems Improvement Science from Clemson University. Mrs. Borland brings 8 years of experience in education as a coach, math teacher, and Assistant Principal.
Mrs. Mabra Wayman will replace Darleen Romenick, who will join the district office as the new Director of Talent Management. Mrs. Wayman currently serves as Assistant Principal at River Trail Elementary School. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Winthrop University, a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Winthrop University, and is currently completing a Doctorate of Education in Educational Practice and Innovation from the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Wayman has 15 years of experience as an educational consultant, math coach, teacher, and Assistant Principal.

We are also delighted to welcome Mrs. Hustedt and Mrs. Romenick to our district office staff. Their expertise and experience as former principals will be invaluable in their new roles.”
